How to Unroot the Commtiva Z71

Being rooted has so many advantages that you’d never like to unroot your device. However, there may come a time when you need your warranty back, and at such times, unrooting helps out. It restores the warranty of the device and lets you have a valid warranty. Here’s how you can unroot your Commtiva Z71 smartphone and get its warranty back:

I. Before You Begin:

1. You must have rooted your device using the procedure given here. If you used any other method to root your device, this procedure may or may not work for you.

2. Make sure your device has at least 50% of battery life left.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. z4Root (It’s attached in the first post)

III. Unrooting the Commtiva Z71:

1. Place the z4Root app onto your Desktop.

2. Connect your device to your PC using the USB cable.

3. Copy the z4Root app over to the root of your SD card.

4. Once it’s been copied, unplug your device from your PC.

5. Enable the Unknown sources option on your device by going to Menu>>Settings>>Applications>>Unknown sources.

6. Open the File Manager app and install the app you just copied to your device.

7. Once installed, open it from your App Drawer.

8. Hit Unroot option in the app and it’ll unroot your device.

9. And you’re all done!

Great! Your device has been successfully unrooted and you won’t see Superuser app any longer in your App Drawer!
