How to Unroot the Huawei Ascend II

Unrooting any device is so easy provided you have the stock ROM file for your particular device. In this case, we have the stock ROM file for the Huawei Ascend II smartphone, which will help us unroot the device to reinstate the warranty. Here’s how you can unroot your Huawei Ascend II smartphone.

I. Before You Begin:

1. You should have rooted your device using the guide given here.

2. Make sure to take a backup of all your important files on your device. The procedure will wipe off all the data.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. Stock ROM (Download link’s given in the first post)

III. Unrooting the Huawei Ascend II:

1. Place the Stock ROM file on the Desktop of your PC.

2. Extract files from the Stock ROM archive to your Desktop.

3. Connect the Huawei Ascend II to your PC using the USB cable.

4. Transfer the dload folder which you extracted from Stock ROM archive to the root folder of your device’s SD card.

5. Disconnect the device after folder has been copied.

6. Turn OFF the device.

7. While your device is turned OFF, press and hold the Volume DOWN+Volume UP+Power buttons together.

8. Your device should automatically commence the flashing process.

9. After the flashing is done, simply turn OFF your device.

10. Remove the battery and SD card from your device.

11. Place the battery into your device and turn it ON.

12. After the device has started, insert the SD card you ejected in the above step.

13. Delete the dload folder you have on your SD card.

14. Your device should be unrooted now !

The Stock ROM has been flashed on your device and it means you’re now running the most stable firmware without root access.
