    1. For most of the root methods, you ought to have a PC or a Laptop but there’re some methods that do not require the PC, z4Root, for example. It’s just an APK file that gains root access on the device.

      Thanks!

  1. Does this restore the phone to factory default? or does it keep the phone in the same condition (homescreen setup, ect.) has you have currently.

  2. I followed the instruction steps to unroot my T-Mobile Note 2. It all succeeded. However, I looked at the device status say “Normal” that “Modified” was replaced with. I thought it would be “Official”. How can I get my Note 2 back to “Official”? If “Normal” won’t void my warranty, then forget it.

  3. I bought a note 2 from a garage sale site on facebook a couple days ago. The seller told me it was not rooted. When I got the phone it was indeed rooted and not a very good ROM. I am not tech savvy when it comes to PC’s and all this stuff but I followed the directions laid out here and even tho the stock rom says it’s a UK version everything switched easily and smoothly in less than 10 min. The system now states official. Thanks for the help! If I had some money to donate, I certainly would because you definitely helped this loser out!
