How to Unroot the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge (Korean)

Maybe the custom ROM you’re running on your Korean Samsung Galaxy Note Edge crash too often? Maybe you don’t find custom ROMs to be a good driver for your device? If so, here’s how to unroot your Korean Galaxy Note Edge and get it back to stock:

Unrooting is the process of removing root access, a custom recovery (if you have one), and just trying to get the device back to as close to stock as possible.

Some of the reasons for unrooting your Samsung Galaxy Note Edge (Korean) are:

  • Sending in the device for warranty (most, but not all unrooting procedures reinstate the manufacturer warranty if you had one before rooting).
  • Starting over (simply undoing everything you did while rooted so you can have a clean slate to start over).
  • Fix any issues (Maybe rooting messed something up? No problem, unrooting will take care of it for you).

Ready to get started? Here’s how to unroot the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge (Korean):

I. Before You Begin

1. You should’ve rooted your device using the procedure given here.

2. This only works for the SM-N915S variant of the device.

3. You must have a Windows based PC to do this procedure.

4. You should’ve appropriate drivers installed on your PC. If you haven’t, download and install the latest Samsung drivers from here.

II. Downloading Required Files

1. Download Odin and save it to your desktop.

2. Download the appropriate stock firmware for your device and save it to your desktop.

III. Unrooting the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge (Korean)

1. First of all, extract files from both Odin and Stock Firmware to your desktop by right-clicking on each of them and selecting Extract here.

2. Open Odin by double-clicking on its executable file.

3. When Odin launches, click on PDA and choose Stock Firmware available on your desktop.

4. Uncheck Repartition if it’s already checked in the Odin.

5. Checkmark the boxes labeled as Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time.

6. Turn OFF your device.

7. Turn it back on by holding down Volume DOWN, Home, and Power buttons together.

8. Press Volume UP and you should be in download mode.

9. Plug in your device to your PC using the USB cable.

10. Click Start in the Odin and it’ll start flashing stock firmware on your device.

11. Your device should reboot when the firmware’s flashed.

12. You’re all done!

And there you go. Your Korean Samsung Galaxy Note Edge is now unrooted. It’s now running the official stock firmware with the default settings.
