How To Use Group Texting on the T-Mobile Sidekick 4G

Just purchased a T-Mobile Sidekick 4G and found that little icon for Group Texting but don’t know what it does? Let’s see if we can explain. Check out our how to video for a quick run-through on what Group Texting is and how to use it.

I. Set Up A Group in Group Texting

1. Open the group texting app.

2. Select Create New Group.

3. Tap in the top search bar and search for the friends you want to add to the group, selecting each one and then searching for the next and so on.

4. Click Save

5. Choose a group name (and keep in mind that this name WILL be displayed to the people in the group upon joining).

II. Start the Conversation

1. Tap the group you want to communicate with.

2. Tap compose at the bottom.

3. Write your message and click Send.

A. You can add a picture, video, or music by selecting the paperclip icon.

B. You can add a location from the map by clicking the crosshair icon.

C. You can bring up emoticons by clicking on the face icon.

D. You can bring up the different commands (like leaving the group, sleeping the group for a while, etc.) by clicking on the dot icon.
