HTC Bravo Coming to Sweden in March, So What About T-Mobile USA?

According to 3 Sweden (a phone company in Sweden) in a Facebook message that was in response to a question about new Android phones in the region, 3 Sweden responded with (roughly translated to English):

3 Sweden: We have just taken the decision to take on HTC Bravo (expected in March) and that basically is the same as mobile Nexus One.”

So it appears that the HTC Bravo, which is basically the Nexus One with HTC Sense UI, is coming to Sweden in March sometime.

So I know all of you are wondering if that means that T-Mobile USA, who we heard a rumor will be getting the HTC Bravo in stores, will be getting the Bravo around the same time. And the short answer is no. It doesn’t mean that they won’t but it also doesn’t mean that they will. Just remember the HTC HD2? Came out in Europe in November and T-Mobile USA is getting it in Spring 2010 (so most likely March)…

I don’t want to kill your hopes though, just don’t expect the 3 Sweden Bravo release and the T-Mobile USA Bravo (if the rumor is true at all) to be on the same day 🙂

Also another question comes up, should you even wait for the Bravo if you are on T-Mobile USA? If it is the same thing as the Nexus One, and you know that XDA Devs are already trying to get HTC Sense onto the Nexus One (and will definitely be able to get it on the Nexus One once they have a Bravo in their hands), is there any reason to wait? Let me know if you think there is, curious as to what you guys think.

  1. It may be good to wait so you can pay off the phone in 20 installments and get it on an even more plus plan.

I think tmo employees will also wait so that they can get a discount on the phone.

    1. S0me3Guy,

That was the rumor, but we found out it was the Nexus One we were hearing about… (You’ll notice it says Bravo/Passion/Dragon in that post. The Nexus One is technically the Passion).

  2. well i definately am getting a n1 i also believe the n1 has more ram and devs are hard at work on getting sense ui so i say go n1

    1. Dave,

Well, the fact that they are getting a crack at the Nexus One in Spring would make one think they arent getting the Bravo until much later (if at all). So they are not ruled out, but they definitely got pushed back behind TMobile in terms of who would get it first if they do get it, make sense?

  3. I just hope who ever gets the HTC Bravo in the states… Doesn’t come late to the party… I don’t want the HTC Hero story to repeat… Hope the phone comes out within month of first release in Europe or vice-versa, like the Moto Droid did in Germany with the MileStone…

I bet the HTC Bravo OS will be ported in full to the Nexus… But if I am going to pay over $400 for a phone… I would prefer the official one… If the carrier is the same… And the choice is between the HTC Bravo or the HTC Google Nexus for about the same price… I would go with the Bravo… Just hope HTC was quietly smart enough to at least match the Nexus Ram…

To complicate things… There is one phone that has just resurface…I had forgotten all about it… And it might get to a lower price then the Nexus & others at a faster rate…

    Archos Android Phone Tablet:

Seems like this phone will have a lower chance of having TMobile’s 3G bands.. It will probably be sold unlocked for ATT 3G band… Not sure.. Hope that’s not the case… Hope the sister band carrier in Canada can bring some more love to the TMobile 3G band…

Last known Archos Phone Tablet specs:

4.3″ screen (Must be capacitive, hopefully AMOLED)
    1Ghz SnapDragon

Hopefully they will stick Android v2.1 vanilla in it.. I really like the extra 2 desktops & live wallpapers… 2nd best to Rosie…

Archos is selling a Linux base 5″ MID already for about $200+ so this new device should be reasonable priced…

Hopefully it will be in display next month at the Mobile World Congress 2010 in Barcelona…

  4. unless vzw doesnt sell the nexus one AT ALL and it is only available from google directly. Can we see a potential universe where verizon sells the sense-equipped version in store but not the stock android version at all?

  5. I hope this does come to tmo…I’m tempted to upgrade to the HD2 but I’m not that huge of a fan of WinMo. I need to figure out what I’m going to upgrade to before April haha

  6. Humn… The rumors are not looking good for a HTC Bravo on TMobile… But there might be something better from HTC on the pipeline… Although how soon it will be available is questionable…

    http://www.tmonews.com/2010/01/hot-handsets-for-t-mobiles-first-quarter

“The third handset is the more mysterious of the two unknowns here, the MyTouch2, codenamed “Espresso” which will according to one source, “have a sidekick type keyboard.” Another email called it the MyTouch “Slide” so now we have two possibilities. The sidekick keyboard concept isn’t exactly a bad thing, in fact in some cases it could be awesome and I’ll admit my mind is racing with design possibilities.

These are of course tentative dates and very tentative at that. The HTC HD2 will come out in Spring as previously rumored with The Garmin “Fone” dropping sometime in early May. As for the MyTouch “Slide,” current word has that pegged for May 17th. Of course, all these dates are super tentative and subject to change.”

This reads like there is no HTC Bravo or SnapDragon for TMobile… Just a HTC MyTouch upgrade… This will be disappointing… Unless it is the Nexus Enterprise…

I don’t count Nexus as a Tmobile phone since there is only one plan available for the discount…

  7. I would be surprised if the Bravo comes to T-Mobile at all. The Nexus One is available NOW and if the Bravo comes along, they have to carry inventory and move that inventory. Hard to do if you’ve spent a couple months saturating your high end Android subs with the Nexus One. More likely Verizon would get this (or the Incredible) in the next month or two prior to offering the Nexus One. It’s probably why they chose not to offer it right away like T-Mobile. There’s an HTC high end Android phone in the works and if the N1 went on sale on Verizon sooner rather than later, well they’d undermine their own plans to sell a similar device that they’ll be stocking.

  8. Hi Biggles,
    Reply:
Remember that the Nexus One which is not a TMobile phone is a Googlephone fully Tmobile compatible phone… U can only buy it on T-Mobile site or Google site not on T-mobile stores.

no that doesnt make sense. Tmobile “got a crack” at N1 so whats the diff?

Have you heard anything more about that rumor on the “incredible” for Verizon that is floating around now?

  10. If they’re getting The Bravo by T-mo would be great i got my job discount and my current account is wit them,But if Verizon take it would have to get a new account on there and use my other job discount. Yeahhh!

I want the 720 HD Capture!

If the final version have it.
Someone knows if the htc bravo would have this feature?

I heard some rumors that comes since the 3 sweeden announce that they gonna have the bravo on sale,

That the htc bravo is going to be exactly like the nexus one and no 720 HD Capture.
