HTC Preparing To Launch Up To 8 New Smartphones In Q3
As HTC continues to report record breaking earnings each quarter, news of a plethora of future handsets comes as no surprise. HTC chief executive Peter Chou announced that the company was in fact on track to release between six and eight new smartphone devices this quarter. HTC hopes to ship a whopping 13.5 million handsets this September quarter alone.
What does this mean for HTC enthusiasts? It appears the Tawain based company took note as their entry-level devices, the Wildfire S and the ChaCha, caused their average selling price to decrease by 2% from their previous quarter. If consumers are looking for the mid to high end smartphone then that’s exactly what HTC plans on providing. As CEO Chou explained further, most of the new handsets will be “middle or high-end models” hopefully giving consumers more of what they are looking for in a smartphone.
