HTC Revolver with Honeycomb in the works?

Google may have said Honeycomb is tailormade for tablets and tablets only, but if a recent tipster to Engadget is to be believed, this version of the operating system might make its mark on smartphones too.  The tipster has a sent a picture showing off the purported device with a solid spec sheet.  According to the pic, the Revolver will feature an unspecified 1.2GHz dual-core processor, HSPA+ support, 16GB of onboard space with the option to further upgrade if needed and 1GB of RAM to keep things smooth.  Also included is a 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with a 3mpx lens on the front and a huge 4.3 inch capacitive touchscreen.

The specs are all well and good but what has got us bugged is the Android 3.0 listing, something Google specifically stated will feature only on tablets, which puts the credibility of the whole package at risk.  Taking this news with a grain of salt is advised but if it were to be the real deal by a slim chance, you might want to hold off on the Motorola Atrix or the Nexus S for now.  The tipster has also stated that AT&T will put this up in its “coming soon” section this spring, which could finally put our doubts to rest.

Update: This is most likely a fake…
