HTC Thunderbolt may be released on March 21

With all the rumors flying around, the HTC Thunderbolt should have been released already but then it hasn’t, and it’s now time to look for a new date.  This week, it comes BGR, who have heard from two different sources that the Verizon-branded Thunderbolt will be released very soon – on March 21 to be specific.  The validity of the tipsters is questionable, says BGR, but add this to the March 21st release date that made a short appearance on HTC’s Facebook homepage, and we could finally have a winning number on our hands.  Let’s just hope that this time it sticks and we will finally see this handset do its thing out in the open.

The Thunderbolt will be one of three Android handsets waiting in line for a release on Verizon’s network and is equipped to cruise the network’s LTE radio waves.  Other features include 1GHz single-core processor, 768MB of memory, and an 8-megapixel camera with a secondary front-facing camera.  The smartphone will run a Sensed version of Android 2.2 operating system and also features a kickstand for easier video watching.

  1. There have been so many rumors of this being released that I’ve pretty much given up on hoping for it. So instead, when my upgrade comes, I’ll just get an iPhone.
