HTC vying to be first with a 4G smartphone, again
If you head over to HTC’s teaser website, you will find a mysterious device under a black cloak with a caption that says “The first to 4G, again.” The device is most probably the Incredible HD for Verizon, considering the timed PR image leaks and this new website. True to its claims on the site, the company was the first on 4G WiMax with the Sprint, was on the forefront for T-Mobile with the 4G-capable T-Mobile G2 and it plans to repeat the same this time around for Verizon. The device will be revealed on January 6, which coincidentally is the same day Verizon is planning a keynote at the CES, so we should seeing some hard specs revealed in the event. All we know about the device right now is it runs on Android, is 4G ready and from the pictures, totes dual-LED flash.
