HTC Wildfire S available on T-Mobile for $79.99

The mid (to low) range Gingerbread phone officially announced on July 21st is now available from T-Mobile and goes for a cheap $80, if you order it online – interested buyers will need to sign up for a two-year contract with the carrier as usual.  This price is only for units purchased online and the offer is valid until 9th August.

An update to the original HTC Wildfire, the Wildfire S features a 3.2-inch multitouch display, 600MHz processor, 512MB RAM, a 5MP rear camera with LED flash, and runs Android 2.3 OS with Sense UI on top.

Got this little guy about a month ago.  Small screen, pretty buggy, lol.  I’m still learning how to use it though, maybe I’m just not savvy enough with Android to use it properly.  But really… side-by-side with my old iPod Touch I notice much more responsiveness from iOS, despite the 512 MB of RAM under the Wildfire’s hood (compared to the Touch’s 128 MB).
