LG and Qualcomm Team Up to Host Event on September 19th: Optimus G for the States?
As if we couldn’t handle any more September smartphone launch craziness, LG and Qualcomm have teamed to host an event slated for the 19th. While the event invite remains ambiguously vague, we can’t help but reference back to the end of August when LG unveiled their beastly Optimus G . The device was introduced as the first to rock Qualcomm’s new quad-core Snapdragon S4 with an Adreno 320 GPU. If that wasn’t impressive enough it also comes equipped with a 4.7″ True HD IPS display with 320ppi and yes, it’s full sRGB. Also a first for this device is its integration with LG’s G2 Touch Hybrid technology which is responsible for an uber thin display that reduces reflections. No denying that the Optimus G aims to impress.
So, we can’t help but hope that the LG Qualcomm event will reveal an Optimus G for the U.S. No confirmation yet on that theory, but thankfully we won’t have to wait much longer to find out. We’ll be sure to keep you all updated.
