Motorola XOOM Release Date
A tipster has sent in an inventory sheet from Best Buy to Engadget and guess what was listed on there? The Motorola XOOM, the most talked about Android tablet at the Consumer Electronics Show earlier this month.
The Motorola XOOM tablet will feature:
- 1 Ghz dual-core Tegra 2 processor
- 10.1″ capacitive touchscreen with 1280 x 800 pixel resolution
- 2MP front facing camera and a 5MP rear facing camera
- 32GB on board storage
- 1080P playback, 720p recording
- Android Honeycomb (Android’s new tablet version of their OS)
The leaked sheet seems to show this tablet launching on February 17th and at a price of $699.99.
The big appeal to this device, in my opinion, is the decent sized screen, proper power under the hood in the form of that dual core Tegra, both front and rear facing cameras, and of course the new tablet version of Android, which seemed pretty sexy from the quick demo we got.
Anyone shelling out $700 for this bad boy on day one?
