Nokia Working On “Treasure Tag” Key Finder As Lumia Line Accessory
According to The Verge, Nokia has been hard at work developing an accessory for its Lumia devices that will act as a key finder or other attached objects. The device is coined the “Treasure Tag” and is reportedly ready for a launch within the next couple of weeks.
The Treasure Tag will use a combination of NFC and Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy support signals to locate the tag in relationship to the Lumia smartphone. The Verge also cites that the device will come equipped with a loop strap for attaching it directly to your key ring. Users will have to download an app which will show where the item is located on a map or via a Nokia LiveSight augmented view. When the item is close enough the Treasure Tag will make a noise to alert the owner.
No details have emerged yet pinpointing an exact launch date or price range for the Treasure Tag.
