Notion Ink Adam delayed yet again due to FCC holdup

If the videos on the company’s blog and its demo at the CES are anything to go by, the Adam has the potential to be a great tablet, but it seems that customers who have preordered it here in the US will have to wait a bit more to get their hands on the device, according to AndroidPolice.  The Android device has taken a long time already to actually make an appearance, raking up suspicions of vaporware, and now it is yet again delayed, thanks to a snag with its FCC approval.  While other non-US and non-European customers have already had their devices for some time now, many customers on the American continent have received the following apologetic email concerning their shipments:

Greetings from the Notion Ink Support Team!

This e-mail is to inform you that your shipment is ready, but we are awaiting final FCC and CE numbers which are to be printed on the device before we can ship them to you. The Holiday season in December pushed the administrative work and it will be cleared within this week.

We request your kind patience and cooperation till we inform you of your shipment.

As you may already know, the Notion Ink Adam was recently demonstrated to a lot of people at CES 2011, and the Adam was appreciated greatly and loved by everyone.

We really appreciate your continued support and effort that you have infused into creating the Notion Ink Community.

Warm Regards

Jon

Notion Ink Support Team

If the FCC blessing is the only thing holding this device back, customers may not have to wait too long to get their tablet and if any of our readers have ordered one, feel free to tell us below in the comments when you get it!
