Samsung announces Gingerbread update for three Galaxy devices including the Tab

After a halting rollout of Android 2.3 for Galaxy S in Europe last month, Samsung has yet again announced the Gingerbread update – this time, not only is the Galaxy S getting some Gingerbread but also the Tab (aren’t we running Honeycomb already on this one?) and the Galaxy Ace.  As usual, the update is available through Kies, according to the press release, and there’s no news on whether this update will be available OTA.

The rollout will begin in the Galaxy S in the UK and then gradually envelop rest of the world including the North American Continent, with the Galaxy Ace and Galaxy Tab getting their due somewhere in between.  If you have got the update already, feel free to vent on your device’s shortcomings or laud its improvements in the Comments section below.
