Samsung Galaxy Tab now available in Russia at $1220

It’s already available in Germany and is getting ready to conquer the UK come November 1st. Now, Russia joins the list of countries where the Galaxy Tab is available for a cool 36,990 rubles which translates roughly to $1220 (unlocked). The much-anticipated Android tablet should be available in Svyaznoy stores starting at 5pm today.

We have already reported on the Galaxy Tab’s stellar features but for those emerging from under a rock, it packs a 1023x600px 7-inch display, 1080p HD video playback capability, 16/32 GB internal storage with the option of further expansion up to 64GB via MicroSD, and a 3-megapixel camera with LED flash. Samsung has also added in a front-facing 1.3mpx lens to facilitate video calling.

The Korean giant aims to sell 10 million of these devices across the globe and considering the Galaxy S recently crossing 5 million in sales, we wouldn’t be surprised if the Tab lived up to its high expectation.
