Samsung rolls out Android 2.3 Gingerbread update for the Galaxy S
If you haven’t flashed the leaked ROM already and have been waiting for the official word, this is it. Samsung has now started rolling out the long-awaited Android 2.3 Gingerbread update for the Galaxy S I9000 across Europe beginning today. The update is initially available for unlocked Galaxy S users and will be available to network-locked devices once the carriers have had a chance to tinker with it. As a matter of fact, Vodafone UK seems already done with tinkering and has announced the availability of Gingerbread for the Galaxy S devices on its network today.
