T-Mobile to get an updated Samsung Galaxy S version as Vibrant 4G

Exclusive to T-Mobile, the Samsung Vibrant 4G will be the carrier’s first 4G device capable of cruising at speeds of 21+ Mbps.  This upgraded version of the highly popular Galaxy S will boast of a front-facing camera (with Qik video chat) and Android 2.2 operating system, compared to the Galaxy’s 2.1 Eclair OS.  Also bundled on is last year’s blockbuster movie, “Inception,” which will make for good entertainment on the go with its 4-inch Super AMOLED display.  All well and good but T-Mobile, as is the case most of the times, seems to have forgotten to add a release date to the leaked documents, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see the device hit the shelves very soon, as T-Mobile is planning a huge marketing campaign in the near future to promote the device in various media, including TV and cinema.

The original Galaxy S (called the Vibrant on T-Mobile) alone sold a million units and still remains the largest selling variant of the Galaxy S this side of the pond, so we will have to wait and see if the Vibrant 4G will enjoy the same kind of success when it is released.
