Virgin Mobile Samsung Intercept to get Android 2.2 today?

Sprint users may know it as the Samsung M910, but on Virgin Mobile it’s called the Intercept.  The CDMA Android 2.1 device was released in October 2010 and Virgin Mobile thinks it’s finally time to dole out some 2.2 grade pastry to its Intercept users.  Numerous users on the network have been getting texts on the subject and it may not be long before the update actually falls into their laps:

The Froyo Update for the Virgin Mobile Samsung Intercept is finally coming out on Monday the 11th! VMFreeMsg: Starting 4/11/11, you will be notified of a phone software upgrade available for your Intercept. Click http://msg4u.us/isr for more information.

Clicking on the link takes users to a page pointing out the salient features of the update, and you might want to skip it if you know your Froyo.  As for the exact availability of the update, be sure to check your notifications to see if you don’t have it waiting already.
