WhatsApp Hits 300 Million Users, Adds Updated Voice Messaging

Popular cross platform messaging app WhatsApp just hit 300 million users and is working harder than ever to improve its user experience.  Long time users and newbies alike can now relish in the perks of a new feature that lets you record and send voice memos with one tap of the mic icon.

WhatsApp even went as far as to remove the length limits for recorded messages. WhatsApp now plays audio within the app itself instead of opening a media player. Playback will automatically switch from a handset’s speakers to its earpiece when the device is held to your ear, and the mic icon will turn blue when recipients have listened to your message.

So, if you are looking for a way to leave unrestrained voice memos to your friends and family, then interested users can find the app on iOS, Android, Windows Phone, BB10 and Nokia Symbian / S40. Continue on to the source link if you’re interested in becoming a WhatsApp user.
