Winamp player now available for Android 2.1 and higher

The popular desktop media player is now available on the Android platform too, but only for devices that are running Android 2.1 or higher builds.

The application is beta right now but does have all the basic features asked of a music player on Android with a few extras including:

  • Sync with Winamp desktop library over WiFi or USB
  • Widget player for easy access directly on the home screen with the ability to control playback from the lock screen
  • Scrobbling support with Last.fm (provided the Last.fm app is installed on the device)

Look for it on the Android Market or if you are too lazy to type, head over to Winamp’s Blog for the QR code.
