How to Flash a Custom Recovery on the Asus Transformer TF101
After rooting your device, the only thing remains to be done is a custom recovery installation. Getting a custom recovery on your tablet allows you to flash custom ROMS as well as to backup your phone. All this can be done from the recovery menu. You can follow the procedure given below to flash the ClockworkMod Recovery on your Asus Transformer TF101 tablet.
I. Before You Begin:
1. You must have rooted your device before doing this procedure. Please head to our how to root Asus Transformer TF101 procedure first, finish it, then return to this procedure and continue.
2. The following procedure works on Asus Transformer TF101 model only. You shouldn’t try it on any other device.
II. Downloading Required Files:
1. Download the Recovery Installer App from here. (Download link is in the first post)
III. Installing ClockworkMod Recovery on Transformer TF101:
1. Download and place the App APK file onto your Desktop,
2. Connect your tablet to your PC using the USB cable.
3. Copy the APK file to your tablet’s storage.
4. Unplug your tablet from the PC after you have copied the file.
5. Locate the file on your tablet and tap on it to begin the installation process.
6. As soon as the installation finishes, launch the app from the Menu of your tablet.
7. In the app, tap on Click to flash recovery option. It should install the ClockworkMod Recovery on your tablet.
8. Reboot your tablet.
There you go, the ClockworkMod Recovery has now successfully been installed on your tablet. In order to boot your device into the recovery mode, simply download a simple app from here.
