All the iPhones Running iOS 7 Speed Comparison
Inspired by PhoneBuff’s Nexus comparison and realizing I had a lot of iPhones in the office, I figured I’d do a similar video. Let’s compare all the iPhone’s that run iOS 7 and see how they’ve changed over the years in terms of speed for fun. Without further ado, here’s the specs of each iPhone below for your informational purposes, and the times each took to do each of our three tests. Enjoy!
Boot Up Time
iPhone 5S: 24 seconds to boot up
iPhone 5C: +3 seconds more than the iPhone 5S
iPhone 5: +3 seconds more than the iPhone 5C
iPhone 4S: +1 seconds more than the iPhone 5
iPhone 4: +13 seconds more than the iPhone 4S
Open a Game (Temple Run 2)
iPhone 5S: 5 seconds to open the game
iPhone 5C: +3 seconds more than the iPhone 5S
iPhone 5: +0 seconds more than the iPhone 5C
iPhone 4S: +6 seconds more than the iPhone 5
iPhone 4: +14 seconds more than the iPhone 4S
Browser Speed Test
iPhone 5S: 5 seconds to load the desktop version of the site
iPhone 5C: +0 seconds more than the iPhone 5S
iPhone 5: +1 seconds more than the iPhone 5C
iPhone 4S: +3 seconds more than the iPhone 5
iPhone 4: +12 seconds more than the iPhone 4S

Biggest thing I noticed is the small gap between all of the iPhones except for the iPhone 4. Seems to be a huge difference between it and the other models. Looking for an older iPhone for Christmas this year? Maybe spend the extra $100 on Craigslist/eBay for the 4S if you were thinking about the 4. Just saying.

How is it stupid to assess how a product acts and dislike it because it’s extremely overpriced for what it can do realistically?
This proves that my device is a bargain and an excellent choice. No incremental upgrade was needed.
Not really sure how that’s bad. Maybe you can try and spin it that way.
What really sucks is the fact, that no downgrades are possible at all. iPhone 4 + iOS 7 is pure agony!
