Ya, Android updates don’t come from the Market. That’s a fake. The update will come from Verizon over the air (the phone will tell you you have a firmware update, you’ll click ok and it’ll do its thing). You MIGHT get it from Verizon, but you’d have to call them and find out.

I’ve downloaded Gingerbread 2.3 and everything works (3d tray Green and gray phone and web icons) but no black notification bar or menu tray.
What do you mean you downloaded gingerbread? For the emulator? Or on a phone? A custom ROM?

Go to settings then about phone and look at the android version number. Does it say 2.3 or 2.2.1?

Needs to support 4g this rom is awsome but keeps going back and forth from 3g to 4g. Htc g2
