Another Windows Phone Turns Android, HTC Touch Pro2 This Time

You can kind of sense the frustration at Windows Mobile 6.x when pretty much all of the top Windows Mobile devices out end up with Android ports on them. I’m sure noone is complaining though, and dual booting any OSes is fun let’s be honest.

Well, the latest Windows Mobile device to turn Android is the HTC Touch Pro2. The guys over at the XDAndroid project are to thank. Here’s a video of it in action, and they say that besides GPS, Bluetooth, and a few other key features that they are working on, it functions pretty darn well.

Hit up our Windows Mobile Download pages for the .cab to run Android on your Touch Pro2.

  3. I’m playing with a T-Mo HD2 as we speak, and this is the most incredible hardware I’ve ever used, bar none (and I own a Nexus 1). The HD@ hardware is beyond incredible, and I was so hoping to be able to deal with WM6.5 but alas, no go. Must have Android!! Can someone PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE port a fully working version of Android to HD2?!?!?!?!!!!!?!!!

    1. Turttle95,

Download the Terminal emulator from the Market and hold down Menu in it to bring up the keyboard. Then type su and hit enter. If you get a # sign, you have root.
