Beta version of Skype out for Windows Phone-based devices

It is rather surprising to see that, Skype, being Microsoft’s own subsidiary, hasn’t had a proper Windows Phone app until now.  And now that it is announced, it is again surprising to see a beta version instead of one ready for primetime, although going by what has been revealed about the app, the “beta” seems just a tag right now with most features already working.

The app is currently supported on the following devices according to Microsoft:  HTC TITAN, HTC Radar, Samsung Focus S, and Samsung Focus Flash, Nokia Lumia 710 and Lumia 800.  You can look for it on the Marketplace but we have heard reports of not being able to find it there.  If so, head over to the web-based market to install or scan the QR code below using your WP device.
