How To Look Cooler Using Your Sidekick 4G
So you bought a Sidekick and you love it. Issue is, you wish you could just look a lot cooler while using it. You fumble to open it, you’re opening apps the same as any other Android device and, frankly, you’re sick of it. Well, this IS a Sidekick after all, you should use it like a Sidekick. Well show you how.
I. Open it and Close it, the “Proper Way”
1. For portrait opening, hold it with your hand with your thumb on the bottom of the screen. Then push the screen to the side with your thumb.
2. For landscape opening, hold it in your hands with your thumbs on the bottom of the screen. Then push up with your thumbs.
3. To close it, move it to one hand, and use your fingers to push the screen back towards your thumb.
II. Use Jump Keys to Open Apps
1. Go to Settings > Jump Key Settings and set the jump keys to the apps you use the most.
2. Now, get in the habit of using those jump keys!
III. Use the Voice Button Whenever Possible
1. Open the keyboard and hit the Microphone button to initiate a voice search.
2. Open the keyboard, use your jump key to get to the messaging program, and speak your text, send it and close the keyboard in under 30 seconds.
