How To: Unroot the Motorola Xoom (Wifi or 3G) (One Click Method)

I. Before You Begin

1. You must have rooted using our How To Root the Motorola Xoom (One Click Method).

2. This will erase everything on the device.

3. THIS ONLY WORKS ON US MODELS! Using on an EU model is dangerous, according to the programmers update.

THANKS TO JASON TYLER FOR THIS GREAT ONE CLICK APP and THANKS TO JBREW FOR POSTING IT ON XDA.

II. Unroot the Xoom

1. You should already have the Xoom Rooting app installed on your computer as well as the drivers.

2. On the Motorola Xoom go to Settings > Applications > Development > and make sure USB Debugging is checked ON.

3. Plug in the Xoom via USB cable to the computer.

4. Right click the Xoom Rooting .exe file and click Run as Administrator (if this option does not exist just select Open).

5. Click on Unroot and Relock Xoom for your device (3G or Wifi) and follow the on screen prompts on your computer.

6. Done! You can now send in your Xoom for warranty if you wish.

      1. Would you mind letting me know how? The version I have (unlike the video shown above) doesn’t have an ‘unroot’ option for wifi

      1. Okay i finally gutted up and tried to root it…AFTER EVERY FRIGIN COMMAND IT SAID IT WAS A READ ONLY FILE SYSTEM!!!!

      2. The version used in the video is not the same one we get from the xda forum post’s download link. There is no unroot and relock for wifi in this version

  1. I see they are deleting comments on this page.  So, I will add it again!  If you use this method on our Xoom, YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE A $600 BRICK ON :YOUR HANDS.  DO NOT DO THIS, TRUST ME!!!!
