Sony Ericsson Xperia Play to be official on February 13th
Come February 13th, the Japanese-Swedish company will reveal what it’s been staying mum on all along, the Xperia Play. This one has seen it all – leaked images, videos, you name it; hell, it’s on sale in China already, had an advert leaked, and the company still wouldn’t budge and own up. But MWC should put an end to all this and see the PlayStation phone in its official garb, as the company has now announced on its Facebook page that the device will be unveiled in Barcelona on February 13th during the Mobile World Congress, and there’s an ad under wraps ready to air during the Superbowl.
The event will reveal the PlayStation Suite, bundled along with the Android 2.3 operating system on the Play, which for now will be able to play PSOne games. The PlayStation Suite on Android, SE says, is just the beginning as there are plans to expand to other mobile operating systems as well with a developer-friendly environment.
